Well, for starters Irish Sea Moss which is loaded with life-enhancing minerals and vitamins such as sulphur compounds, protein, iodine, bromine, beta-carotene, calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, zinc, pectin, B-vitamins and vitamin C. What better way to optimise your mineral intake but this strange but exceptional sea vegetable!
So, I've just finished soaking Irish sea moss to prepare my mid-morning mineral Smoothie...Mmmm...and yes, it really is good for you! This almost tasteless sea vegetable can take on any natural flavouring you choose to add to it. Here's a great smoothie recipe you can try too:
Delicious Mineral Smoothie
1/2 oz Irish Moss soaked and blended until creamy in ½-1 cup water
1 Glass of Coconut milk
1 Frozen banana
4-6 Medjool dates (pitted) or 2-3 tablespoons agave to sweeten
2-4 Tablespoons raw cacao powder (how much do you enjoy chocolate?)
1/2 Vanilla bean scraped, or 1 tablespoon organic vanilla extract (optional)
Dash of cinnamon
Add all ingredients to a blender or a powerful smoothie maker and blend until creamy. You may want to start off with less Irish moss and adjust to your thickness preference.
