The best EOs to reduce fever and chills are: chamomile, black pepper, peppermint, lemon, lavender, and tea tree.
Dilute 2 to 3 drops of EO in about 1 teaspoon of a carrier oil of your liking. Olive, coconut, jojoba, avocado, or sweet almond are all good examples. Gently massage the mixture onto your chest and cover with a blanket to enhance the effect. Or apply on the bottoms of your feet before going to bed, cover with socks.
Apply a few drops onto a cool compress and apply to your forehead.
Add 5 to 10 drops of EOs to your bath tub to warm your body. If you have sensitive skin, dilute 1 tablespoon of your favourite carrier oil before adding it to your bath tub. This will add an extra moisturising effect and prevent the EOs from being too powerful. Do not add the oils to running water as they will evaporate at a higher rate -- Add them after you've run the bath and gently mix them in by hand.
