Did you know research suggests walnuts may help reduce inflammation. They are also brain boosting as they contain omega 3 fatty acids.
Here I'm soaking walnuts...why? It increases enzyme activity, provides greater absorption of its nutrients and it's far better to digest. When soaking any nuts or seeds it bumps up their nutrient profile considerably.
Nuts are a great source of protein, vitamins and fibre. A handful is sufficient to consume as they can still be high in calories.
How To Soak Nuts
Recommended Soaking Time; soak you nuts and seeds anywhere from 20 minutes, to 2 to 3 hours, even overnight in the refrigerator. In general, harder nuts will take longer to soften. Soak in a glass container with an airtight lid. Soaking nuts in plastic is generally not recommended as plastic can leach into the water and into your food.
